CONDITIONS FOR ENTRY INTO SPAIN

The VISA regime used by Spain forms part of the Union acquis (Schengen visa). The following are the entry requirements:

•  Valid passport or travel document.  Must be valid at least three months after date of departure from any Schengen territory

•  Visa.  For certain nationalities, a valid visa is required.  The nationalities needing visa are listed here.  If you will be needing a Schengen visa, please contact your travel agent or Spanish Embassy in your country to know the procedure and requirements.  Our host will be providing an invitation letter when needed

•  Documents accrediting the purpose and conditions of your planned stay.  At the request of competent authorities, you may need to show return ticket and accommodation confirmation, invitation or authority to participate in a meeting

•  Entry/Exit System.  This automated system for registering non-EU nationals travelling for a short stay is gradually being enforced in Schengen borders, so please expect longer waiting times in the immigration when entering or leaving Spain.
